These are the seedlings from a colleague's plant that flowered in 2012.
Like the hardy species type (Chusquea Culeou), there are several varieties and cultivars are available. The 'Aisen' variety is a tall and hardy type from Southern Chile. Excellent wood with solid culms. Good for building furniture, tool handles and hoop greenhouses.
