A green form of Black bamboo that grows much larger with the older culms having a greenish-blue color. Excellent wood quality. The third most grown bamboo in Japan for timber (right behind Madake and Moso-Chiku). Some feel this is the true form of 'Black bamboo' and the true Black is a variety of Henon.
